First responders were on the “golden carpet” in a sweet ceremony at the Golden Knights’ game last night in Las Vegas.
It was to honor them for everything they did to help the victims of that city’s recent mass shooting.
Defenceman Deryk Engelland—who’s from Edmonton—thanked them for all their tireless and courageous work:
“To the families and friends of the victims, know that we’ll do everything we can to help you and our city heal. We are Vegas Strong.”
And to add to it all—-the Knights won the game—as they beat Arizona 5-2.
