Three Albertans are now confirmed dead as a result of that mass shooting in Las Vegas Sunday night.
Tara Roe of Okotoks had been listed as missing–after she got separated from her husband in the panic while the shooting was going on—-but Calgary police how confirmed she’s among the 59 people who died.
Roe, Jessica Klymchuk of Valleyview and Calla Medig of Jasper were the Canadians killed–along with Jordan Mcildoon of Maple Ridge, BC…
Roe worked as a model in Calgary—was married–and had two young children….
Klymchuk was a single mother of 4–and was in Vegas with her fiance.
Medig worked as a manager at the Moxies restaurant in West Edmonton Mall…
A number of GoFundMe pages have been set up to help the victims’ families cover funeral expenses and more…
Six other Canadians were hurt–including a Calgary man, an Airdrie woman–and a man who now lives in Camrose…..
59 people died as a result of the insanity–and more than 5-hundred were wounded.
Talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel had to fight off tears as he talked about it last night:
“It feels like someone has opened a window into hell. What I’m talking about tonight isnt about gun control. Its about common sense. Common sense says no good will come from allowing a person to have weapons that can take down 527 people at a concert. Common sense says you dont allow those who suffer from mental illness buy guns. You know–in June of last year—the NRA fought to make sure people on the no-fly list can buy guns. They arent allowed to get on the plane–but they’re allowed to own very dangerous guns. Who thinks that makes sense???”
Police believe the 64 year old gunman killed himself. So far they dont know why he did it. (photo credit–CTV)
