An Edmonton man, whose baby son died after a housefire earlier this week, was arrested Friday evening. A spokesman for the Edmonton Police Service says the arrest of Cordell Brown wasn’t related to the fire that destroyed his home, and also severely injured his wife. The spokesman said it was for another matter, but wouldn’t elaborate. 5 month old Hunter Brown died as a result of smoke inhalation, when he and his mother became trapped on the second floor of their home, early Tuesday morning. 6 other people inside the home, managed to escape safely. The fire has been ruled an arson, and Hunter’s death, a homicide.
