Edmonton police have charged a 45-year old man—in connection with the theft of those memorial plaques from Griesbach last month.
18 of the plaques had been taken—-and found the next day by a scrap metal dealer.
This week–police charged Romelo Woolf with possession of stolen property and fraud.
Unfortunately—15 of the plaques were so badly damaged they cant be fixed.
The other three were also damaged—but looks like they could be used again.
The city of Edmonton is now working with the Griesbach community and stakeholders to replace them and repair the pedestals they were on.
