Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall—has decided to throw in the towel.
He’s been the leader of that province for a decade—-having won three consecutive provincial elections.
And while he’s usually the most popular premier in the country—-things havent been that great lately.
His government hit Saskatchewan with a very tough budget this year—-which hiked the provincial sales tax–and made huge cuts to social services.
Just this morning—Wall announced that its time for renewal for the Saskatchewan party.:
“Together with Tammy, we’ve decided that now is the time for renewal—for my party, for the government, for the province. Its time for me to retire from politics.”
He’s planning to stick around—until a new leader is chosen.
