A new dinosaur species has been named after a technician—at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller.
This particular lizard is 110-million years old—-and said to be one of the best preserved dinosaurs in the world.
It was found a the Suncor Millenium Mine near Fort McMurray in 2011—-and is now on display at the Royal Tyrrell.
Its been named after technician Mark Mitchell—who spent about six years working on it.
Its name is …….”Boreal-Opelta MarkMitchellii”
Lets just call it “Mitchy”.
