Edmonton police have found memorial plaques that were recently stolen from the Griesbach community.
Its thought they had been taken sometime between this past Sunday and yesterday…
This morning–police got a call from a scrap metal dealer—-who had seen the story about the plaques.
Detective Eric Wilde says most of them have been recovered—but they’ve been damaged beyond repair.
And since they cost about 25-hundred dollars each—-its not likely enough money can be raised to replace them.
So far there arent any suspects in this case. (photo credit—Edmonton Journal)
