Thats the word on the newly formed United Conservative Party—as the province has recognized it as the OFFICIAL opposition.
22 members of the former Wildrose and PC parties will make up the UCP.
And as the UCP becomes official—-wannabe leader Brian Jean told reporters today he would make 2.6-billion dollars in provincial spending cuts–if the UCP becomes the next government.
He says he would freeze salaries, fire managers and not bother filling jobs when someone retires.
He pointed specifically at Alberta Health Services—but didnt mention other departments.
He also says he’d dump the carbon tax–and cut the business tax to 10-percent over 2 years.
